Making sure that shoppers can find their favorite brands and make the most of their trips is important to ensuring customers have a pleasant time at the mall. Improving customer experience is paramount.

Smart interactive maps are a key element, helping consumers navigate the mall environment by intuitive oudoor readable touch screen displays.

In 2013, Tanger Outlet Malls chose the Totem (superseded by the Praevar Podium) to provide digital wayfinding and other key content to improve customer experience and integrate with sales channels and collect valuable analytics for brands and retailers.

The Totem Double Sided 75” unit is a ruggedised and weatherproof display, with a ProCap interactive digital touchscreen that enables visitors to find their way round the directory of brands and locate them within the site.

The displays are connected to the Tanger social media campaign, with its Snap, Share, Like and Love focus, supporting the brands on site. Content can easily be customised to support partners and brands across the mall.

What happened to the Totem?

Today the Totem has been superseded by the Praevar Podium.

The Praevar Podium features an updated modular system which makes Praevar Displays adaptable to almost any enviroment or site location. By means of Preavar's versatile mounting modules - Praevars inventive mounting options facilitate options for wall mounted, free standing and/or incorporation into other street furniture. It is also available with 55” or 65" displays for applications where a smaller screen is appropriate.

Various configurations are available, combining digital / static or digital / digital. All Praevar Podiums are available in ground surface mounting options and variants.

Where additional height is required, a tall-plinth sub-assembly can be exchanged to match the styling of the Tanger Wayfinding Display above.

Modular integrated technology is built to make maintenance and repair quick and easy on site.
